November Goals

Each month I've been trying to really reflect on the past month's goals, and some months I let myself down by not fully completing those goals. But as Meatloaf says, I guess two out of three ain't bad.

At the very end of October, I've jumped on the Couch to 5K bandwagon and have finished my first week. I think I might actually be liking it (let's hope it stays that way.) And I have purchased 2 Christmas presents, so I'm counting that... But our busy October is really keeping me from cleaning and purging our apartment. Like I said, two out of three.

Here some goals for November:

  • Plan this blog ahead for our week vacation. Some weekends I knock out a bunch of content and have posts written and scheduled ahead of time, some times it's more like writing for the next day. Tim and I are going on vacation with Tim's parents in the middle of November, and I want to simply have those posts written and scheduled so it's one less thing to worry about.
  • Control my me-spending. November always means Christmas shopping and while shopping for other people, I tend to get carried away with purchasing a lot for myself. I need to remember that I know the things that are on my "really really want" list and stick to that list!
  • Get my hair trimmed. This is so silly, but I've been putting this off like crazy. Plus, I love a simple, easy, personal goal. :)

Wishing everyone a thankful November.

Best of November

November held some warm fall days, and our first semi-major snow. The whole month feels like a blur to tell you the truth, and when I look back on it I only think about a few things.

Purchased my first major furniture piece. Rediscovered my love for tea. Learned to like wine. Thanksgiving. First craft show. New TV. Winter. Etsy orders. I feel like that sums up my November nicely.

Here are a couple of my favorite posts from November:

I put together a little post about dealing with stress. With craft show number 2 coming up, it's starting to get a little stressful up in here again. Nothing I can't handle though!

I successfully made it through my first craft show selling handmade items! And actually made a little money! As silly as it is, I've wanted to sell handmade stuff for so long and never thought I could do it, never thought anyone would want what I make it. And I'm truly glad I've come this far... Here are some of the things I've learned from craft show numer1.

Baking has very much become a hobby of mine, and I've realized this month that I need to be baking more pies. Super simple, and I love them. More than anything else I bake (I rarely eat cupcakes, except applesauce, yum). And those pumpkin seeds, also easy and satisfying.

And that's it. That's my November. As much as I dislike the winter cold, I do love Christmastime and with this being the first Christmas that T&I are living together, expect quite a bit of holiday love on this blog. I'm excited to decorate! (Just need to buy/thrift some decorations...)

November Goals

November is here! October, November, and December are all pretty exciting months with a holiday in each and I love all of them individually. November, I guess, will be pretty stressful and exciting. Two craft shows, craft show prep, Thanksgiving, and the beginning of Christmas shopping. It is getting pretty chilly around here though... November goals, here we come...

  • Get through these craft shows (semi) stress-free.
  • Keep organizing our home.
  • Keep my Etsy shop chugging along.
  • Focus more on healthy eating.
  • Spend more time out and about!
